General Summary
The Department of Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems in the College of Business (COB) is seeking a new Part-Time Lecturer to teach in-person undergraduate courses in the finance area, primarily the introductory Principles of Finance courses required of all COB majors. Other finance courses such as Investments, Intermediate Corporate Finance, Financial Statement Analysis, Risk Management/Derivatives, and International Finance may be available as needed. The College offers AACSB accredited graduate and undergraduate programs in business.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching may include a number of particular obligations which
employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to:
meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes,
assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and
course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials
to their supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades
in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University
schedules.
Perform related departmental duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should possess either a Master of Science in Finance or a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance or a closely related discipline, preferably from an AACSB accredited business school.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with prior teaching or training experience and positive evaluations are highly desired. Evidence of success in teaching or training is required for assignments to more advanced undergraduate courses.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement
between EMU and the EMU Federation of Teachers (EMUFT9102), which
