Job Summary

The campus box office manager is responsible for facilitating the selling of tickets for all ticketed events on campus including the Scheidegger Center, select athletics events, and other campus events as needed, ensuring an exceptional customer experience for users and patrons. This position has complete oversight of the ticketing system, including assigning various user levels and is chief liaison for the campus to Audience View. They create all processes and procedures for the campus box office, following fiscal affairs guidelines for managing revenue and maintaining patron database. Additionally, the box office manager collaborates with the marketing manager and venue staffing to create electronic campaigns.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
  • Manages Campus Box Office operations, including oversight of ticketing system operations
  • Serves as the internal ticketing system expert providing training and support as needed to new users.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of financial records, including detailed records of sales, donations (receipts) and expenditures
  • Oversees the creation of all events in the ticketing system ensuring they follow the format required for consistency and sales data needs
  • Works directly with all internal and outside users to identify the best way forward for the success of their event
  • Manages all ticket sales staffing for assigned events, which may occur concurrently
  • Develops and implements policy/procedure manuals and style guides for the Campus Box Office, including guidelines for ticketing systems, staff training and database management
  • Recruits, hires, schedules, trains and supervises all Campus Box Office employees
  • Oversees individual event reconciliations and daily accounting reports
Service Excellence
  • Supports the mission of the university and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports and holds others accountable to the university’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity and teamwork
  • Ensures Campus Box Office staff provide excellent customer service at all times for any and all events on campus.
Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration
  • Collaborates with marketing manager to develop and execute electronic campaigns and ensure optimal promotion, attendance, sales, services and events
  • Advises staff, faculty and administrators across campus on the best way to utilize ticketing system support for projects and events
  • Works with IT and Fiscal Affairs to identify improvements and policy changes related to the ticketing system across campus
Job may require other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 year’s relevant experience
  • Experience using Campus View (Audience View), or other mid-size ticketing system
  • Higher Education box office or ticketing experience preferred.
