Description

The Department of Social Science & Cultural Studies at Pratt Institute invites applications for part-time faculty to teach in our Psychology minor and contribute to the general education core, starting in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025 (the majority of our openings will be in Fall).

Examples of Duties

Teaching duties will include classes in those areas as well as General Psychology; some classes will involve writing-intensive components and all will be relatively small seminars (maximum 22 students). Part-Time Visiting faculty at Pratt are eligible to teach up to two sections per semester.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a PhD in a relevant branch of psychology or be advanced, current PhD students, and should have research and teaching experience in Abnormal Psychology, Child and Adolescent Development, or Personality Psychology. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications within the range of $6900-7500 per course.
