Faculty, Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Program (3 positions available)

Miami Dade College is now accepting applications for Faculty, Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Program

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Provides instruction in the Associate of Science and Bachelor of Applied Science courses
• Participates in curriculum development and revision
• Serves on School, Campus and College committees
• Recruits, advises and evaluates students
• Prepares and submits student information to Department Chairperson
• Performs other duties as assigned 

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in a Health Sciences field (e.g., Health Science, Medicine, Nursing, Physician Assisting, Public Health); and Physician Assistants must possess valid national certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Ability to function well in a technological environment that includes using classroom and office multimedia resources
• Ability to demonstrate effective use of active learning and problem solving techniques
• Possess excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
• Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community and in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
• Possess excellent organizational and human relations skills Willingness to work on multiple campuses/outreach locations
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
• Higher Doctoral pay range, supplement, and stipend awarded in addition to base salary, as applicable
• Start date for this Faculty position is anticipated to begin on or before Spring Semester 2025
