Essential Functions
The University of Nebraska at Omaha ( UNO ) and its Office of International Programs seek a visionary, strategic leader to serve as the Associate Vice Chancellor ( AVC ) for Global Engagement starting in 2025. The AVC for Global Engagement is the Senior International Officer for the campus, and as such, works closely and collaboratively with senior campus leadership to advance initiatives focused on international students, internationalizing the curriculum, growing global partnerships, and supporting international research. The AVC for Global Engagement is broadly tasked with leading visioning, strategic planning, and implementation efforts for campus international activities and initiatives that engage a broad and varied constituent of campus and global stakeholders. The position is responsible for a) growing and maintaining robust international enrollments, b) leadership and oversight of international programs (i.e., prospective student programming and support, current international student support, study abroad programming, internationalization efforts), c) ensuring consistent communication with campus leadership and oversight of compliance/risk management strategies, and d) intentionally cultivating and stewarding global partnerships and relationships. The position provides executive oversight of the Office of International Programs and reports directly to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

Additional Duties
Required Qualifications
Qualified candidates must possess an advanced degree, have progressive administrative experience, and experience with international student recruiting and partnership building. The successful candidate must also be an effective communicator and able to lead and implement strategic planning on international recruitment and global partnerships at the campus level.
