The Department of Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Rutgers
Business School invites applications for a tenure track position
of Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management to begin on
September 1, 2025.


The SCM Department includes 17 tenured and tenure-track faculty
and 14 professional practice faculty specializing in supply chain
analytics, sustainability, supply chain finance, logistics and healthcare
operations. The department’s faculty regularly publish in and
serve on editorial boards of FT-50 journals, including Management
Science, Operations Research, Manufacturing and Service Operations
Management, Production and Operations Management, and Journal
of Operations Management. The department offers degrees in Supply
Chain Management at all levels, from undergraduate through PhD and
DBA, serving over 1400 students.

Requirements: Successful applicants should hold a recent Ph.D. in the areas of
Management Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data
Science, or related fields, with several years of experience in academic
and/or corporate research and a specific focus on the application of
Data Analytics and Applied AI in Supply Chain Management (SCM);
have an established research record with an emphasis on supply
chain management and data science, including publications in
Financial Times – 50 journals or top IEEE engineering journals; have
demonstrated teaching effectiveness and communications skills,
with a proven ability to engage students; be able to contribute to the
Department’s future growth and provide research project leadership in
Data Science/Applied AI.

Responsibilities: The new faculty member is expected to conduct research in supply
chain management and data science; teach courses in supply chain
management and data science at the undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D.
levels; engage in professional service activities as determined by the
Department and the School; maintain a strong record of productivity
and quality in published research, teaching, and service activities.
