Job Details
The College of Humanities and Sciences at the University of Montana invites applications for an Adjunct faculty position in the Department of Physics and Astronomy to begin January 2025 . The successful candidates will contribute to teaching entry level Physics with Algebra (both lecture and labs) as well as Classical Mechanics.

Position Details
- Adjunct Faculty: Department of Physics and Astronomy
- Title: Adjunct Professor
- Schedule: 5-month position beginning spring semester 2025
- Entry Rate: $13,000 per semester
- Primary Duties: Teach two (2) courses per academic semester and does include lab sections.
- A doctorate in Physics / Astronomy or a closely related field
- Evidence of or potential for teaching excellence
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- An ability to teach undergraduate students
- Interest in curriculum development
- A commitment to recruiting and supporting diverse groups of students
