The incumbent will conduct rigorous and timely policy research and analyses to support the work of a new Center led by Professors Jordan Matsudaira at SPA and Stephanie Cellini at George Washington University. The Postsecondary Equity & Economics Research (PEER) Center conducts rigorous research to promote evidence-based policymaking and more equitable outcomes in higher education and workforce training, and trains higher education researchers to more effectively engage with and impact state and federal policy. Postdoctoral fellows will have the opportunity to engage in research related to postsecondary costs, affordability, value, access, student success or other areas of policy relevance, and to connect this work directly to federal and state policymaking processes.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. (or Ph.D. expected by June 2025) as well as relevant empirical research and training in applied microeconomics, public policy, higher education, or a related field. The position is renewable for up to two years. There is no teaching required for this position, but opportunities may be available for interested candidates.
