Job Description Summary
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Bentley University—an independent, private business-oriented university located in suburban Boston—invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position, to begin July 1, 2025.The primary teaching focus of the role is introductory math and statistics classes. There will also be opportunities to teach higher-level classes (in math, statistics, data science, data mining, applied math, and more) for those interested in doing so. The teaching load is four courses (12 credit hours) per semester.

The Mathematical Sciences Department offers undergraduate degrees in Data Analytics, Actuarial Sciences, and Mathematical Sciences. At the graduate level, we offer an MS in Business Analytics, a leading program with a current enrollment of about 100 students. We support the Advanced Standing in Business Analytics program, an accelerated graduate degree for high-achieving students. The department is also active in the Executive Ph.D. in Business program, both in teaching and doctoral supervision.
The Mathematical Sciences department leads the Center for Analytics and Data Science (CADS), where students and faculty actively engage outside the classroom. We highly value interdisciplinary collaboration with faculty in other departments and have a strong record of leadership in such activities. Applied research is both welcomed and encouraged. Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or closely related discipline.
