Join our community and experience Emerson College! The program for the Business Studies for Communication and the Arts at Emerson College is looking for part-time faculty to teach our Business Policy, Strategy, and Implementation course (MB400) beginning the spring semester 2025 (Monday, January 13th to May 1st, 2025) with the potential to teach other business courses in fall 2026. Successful candidates will have a firm grasp of foundational concepts in business, including:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the business strategy literature
  • Build and explain corporate and brand KPI architecture
  • Develop research skills to derive business strategy
  • Experience with the strategic planning process
  • Types and roles of innovations strategies
  • Cross functional experience with operations, finance, marketing, and organizational management


Successful candidate must also be available to teach on campus (120 Boyston Street) on Monday and Wednesday from 10am to 11:45am and host four hours of student contact time on Zoom or inperson outside of class per week.

Course Description

Serves as the Business minor's capstone course by introducing new levels of complexity to broad concepts learned in previous classes. Course content includes integrating learning from prerequisite courses in operations, finance, marketing, and organizational management to develop students' competencies in business strategy and strategic planning. The course includes collaborative exercises to help students think critically of approaches to solve strategic business problems and establish comprehensive and thoughtful business policies.

Submission process
