Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Applications are invited for a tenure track position in Analytical Chemistry to begin August 2025. PhD in Analytical Chemistry required with an emphasis in Forensic Science preferred.

Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate general chemistry and forensic science courses. Expected to develop and direct undergraduate research. Undergraduate advising will be required. A strong commitment to excellent teaching is essential. While providing evidence of a strong teaching record is encouraged, individuals who have field and/or professional experience that indicates significant potential for teaching are also encouraged to apply.

Contract period is nine months. Normal teaching load is 12 contact hours each semester.

An active professional development plan including scholarly activities and service to the University, the profession, and the community is expected. Salary determined by experience.
