The Department of Natural Sciences and Engineering in the College of Science and Technology invites qualified candidates to submit applications for Instructor of Physics. This is a non-tenure track, 9-month position with a start date of August 16, 2025. The selected candidate will teach a 5-5 load that includes introductory physics and/or physical science lectures and laboratories. Assigned courses may include all levels from conceptual general education for non-majors up to calculus-based physics, depending on departmental need. Additional duties will include advising undergraduate students, serving on university committees, actively supporting unit initiatives, and may include laboratory preparation and coordination.
Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Physics or a closely related field is required by the start date of the appointment. A successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with at least one year of experience as the instructor of record in physics or a closely related discipline, including graduate assistantships and contingent (part-time) faculty appointments, are preferred.
