Description Engages with and evaluates students in the simulation lab and Nursing Skills Lab. Works with existing faculty to expand and refine simulation curriculum. Oversees the day-to-day operations of the MCCC Health Simulation and Nursing Skills Lab, keeping inventory and reordering as needed. Essential duties include: collaborating with the Dean, DON, and Faculty to develop, implement, update, and monitor simulation and nursing skills lab curriculum policies, procedures, use, and operation; collaborate with DON to ensure complementary blending of lab practice, simulation, and clinical experience to help students and faculty meet course and program objectives. Assists course faculty with student remediation.
Qualifications Master’s degree in Nursing; active and unencumbered RN license for the state of Michigan; 2 years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse; 1 year teaching experience in a professional nursing program; training in clinical simulation curriculum/technology or willingness to obtain such training within two years of hire.
Preferred: Two years of professional and teaching experience in a community college; experience in Clinical Simulation Lab coordination and Nursing Skills Lab coordination.
Salary Beginning salary ($66,803 - $77,138) consistent with Master Agreement between the Community College District of Monroe County, Michigan and the Monroe County Community College Faculty Association. Salary schedule encourages professional growth and is based on 35-hour weeks, 9-month contract. This position is grant funded through September of 2026.
