CONTEXT OF THE JOB: Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Disability Support Services, the Test Center Coordinator will manage and coordinate the daily operations of the TAC (Test Accommodation Center) including scheduling, administering, and proctoring academic tests for registered students. Responsible for a wide range of duties before, during, and after an examination to account for all aspects of the testing process and the security of test materials. Responsible for the coordination and delivery of predetermined testing accommodations to students with disabilities as approved by Accommodation Coordinators.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Communicate professionally and effectively with all members of the University community including students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and student workers.
• Coordinate schedules and assignments for part-time proctor staff.
• Obtain, scan, and secure tests as appropriate.
• Administer tests appropriately including reading instructions, timing tests, returning tests to faculty.
• Contact faculty as needed to obtain tests, clarify instructions, answer questions, and test taking procedures.
• Effectively interact with students/faculty regarding test administration.
• Ensure testing and proctor areas are maintained, clean, and organized.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all testing materials, records, schedules, and all data related to the Testing Center.
• Maintains and updates all TAC computer inventory and equipment and ensures all computers have appropriate computer software installed for test-taking purposes.
• Test Center Coordinator will ensure that academic integrity is upheld, and test-takers adhere to the University of Delaware Academic Honesty policy.
• Exercise discretion and confidentiality, staying compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act and all other state, school, and federal mandates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four years related experience required, plus experience working with people with disabilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently and re-prioritize; ability to successfully adapt to rapid change; ability to work collaboratively and to foster effective relationships.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency working in Windows OS environment, including Microsoft software.
• Demonstrates an understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures, and backgrounds.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 10:00 am – 6:30 pm;
Occasional weekend hours (finals) during Fall and Spring semesters.
Winter and Summer sessions can be from 8:30am to 5pm.
