Carpenter

Summary

Houston, TX - Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Carpenter who will build, erect, install, and repair forms, structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed. Carpenters will build, repair or maintain research labs, offices and buildings.

Working Hours are Monday - Friday 7AM-4PM. Employees are required to exert physical effort during a portion (up to 4 hours) of a normal work shift in handling objects over 50 pounds.

Job Duties

• Handles and deliver material and products based on departments/customer guidelines. D
• Delivers freight, equipment, and furniture to various Baylor departments.
• Maintains inventory of tables and chairs utilized for rentals.
• Provides setup and breakdown service for meetings and events.
• Assists with cleaning and fueling SCS vehicle fleet.
• Delivers and pickup vehicles from repair/maintenance vendors.
• Tracks and documents the logistics of materials using computer software and scanners.
• Drives to various destinations to pick up or deliver packages.
• Provides backup driver service to the shuttle services department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade or Technical School.
