Job Summary:
The Department of Cybersecurity and Information Technology at the University of West Florida (UWF) in Pensacola, Florida invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Cybersecurity (Position #127570) at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, beginning August 2025. We are interested in applicants from all areas in cybersecurity, computer science, or related fields, including, but not limited to, system and network security, software security, and artificial intelligence. Applicants in all computing related field will be considered.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution by the start date of the appointment and a strong commitment to teaching, academic research, and service. The ideal candidate will be able to teach a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses for the programs in the department, develop a strong research program, be a mentor to students, and be an active member of the department, contributing to its success and the mission of the university. Candidates hired at the Assistant Professor level may also be considered for credit toward time on tenure-track based on experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants at the rank of Associate Professor must have interests in outreach, curriculum development, and significant research and teaching experience in an academic setting for a minimum of six years post Ph.D.
