Description

The Department of Spanish at College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting full-time faculty position for the spring 2025 semester to begin in January 2025. We seek a candidate well-prepared to teach Intermediate Spanish and Readings in Latin American Literature, a thematic examination of Latin American literature from pre-Columbian times to the present. The theme, chosen by the instructor, may include linguistic and cultural encounters, migration, colonization and decolonization, marginalization, racism and antiracism, or environmentalism. All teaching is in Spanish, with related languages as appropriate.

Visiting full-time faculty teach 3 courses per semester and are eligible for travel support and reimbursement of relocation costs within the College’s published policies. All full-time appointments offer competitive salaries and include full benefits.

Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.
