In this important role, you will collaborate with various university departments, faculty, staff, and students to implement initiatives that ensure an accessible and inclusive campus environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- ADA Compliance, Assessment and Reporting Oversight – Serve as principal planning coordinator and focal point for University programs, policies and procedures related to University compliance, disability-related initiatives, and the promotion of University opportunities for persons with disabilities. Guide the University’s efforts to move beyond compliance toward seamless access.
- ADA Education and Training – Develop and deliver training programs, workshops and resources to raise awareness and promote understanding of disability-related issues among university stakeholders.
- ADA Consulting and Outreach – Serve as a referral point for disability-related information, services and resources, providing consultation on policy reviews and facilities planning; provide ADA program and facility interpretation, training, and advice on compliance to all sectors of the University community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree completed by start date;
- At least one year of experience in planning and coordinating compliance efforts, ADA, policy development and implementation, outreach, consulting or human resources;
- Ability to use fair and objective reasoning and informed decision making when working with compliance and regulation interpretation and implementation;
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, organizational, interpersonal and attention to detail skills;
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with individuals at all levels within the university and community; and
- High level of effective communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Background in ADA compliance or accommodations;
- Knowledge and understanding of ADA, Civil Rights Act and other related laws and regulations; and
- Background in educating, training, consulting and performing outreach activities.
