Online Counselor Education - Adjunct Faculty
Spring 2025
TCNJ's Department of Online Counselor Education, part of the School of Graduate, Global, and Online Education is seeking candidates to serve as adjunct instructors to teach online graduate courses for a clinical mental health counselor program during the Spring 2025 term.
Instructors will be contracted to teach courses in the following areas:
- Group Counseling
- Career Counseling
- Research and Program Evaluation in Counseling
- Multicultural Counseling
- Counseling Theories and Techniques
Ethical, Legal, and Professional Issues in Counseling
- Instruct synchronous online courses in counselor education
- provide timely feedback on student work
- confer with students during office hours
- MA in clinical mental health counseling (minimum 2 years
post-MA)
- Must be an actively practicing counselor (this is true for all
faculty, adjunct or not)
- Comfortable with learning new technology, consider oneself to
be tech-savvy
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Have stable and reliable Internet access with a broadband
internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 megabits
per second (Mbps) and an upload speed of 3 Mbps
- Confident in your clinical skills and in providing clinical feedback to others.
- Experience teaching in a graduate program for counseling
- experience providing clinical supervision to counselors in training or associate licensed counselors
