Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities
Assist the grants administrator in fiscal duties of the Cardiology Division including financial and contractual aspects, i.e. Reconciliation of VCU accounts, management of fixed assets records, Processing of travel forms, division purchases using eVA and Banner. Verification of telecommunications bill, Reconciliation of Pcards as needed. Perform Human Resources functions and serve as primary contact for vcu hourly and staff positions within the division of Cardiology. Process visa paperwork in collaboration with office of international education. Minimum Hiring Standards
Demonstrated analytical skills; ability to analyze financial transactions for trends and variances; ability to create reports, tracking tools, and professional documents. Strong problem solving and time management skills including ability to adapt to frequent changes in work assignments, prioritize, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines. Must be precise, thorough, and reliable and perform daily activities with minimal supervision. Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team, Working knowledge and experience using state financial systems including Banner and eVA purchasing. Selected candidate will need experience with human resources policies & procedures. Ability to accurately follow instructions and to prioritize work. Must be proficient in the use of Word, Excel. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a diverse environment. Preferred Hiring Standards
Some college level education and experience working in an Academic setting utilizing fiscal systems such as Banner preferred. Personnel Administrator Certification Training( PAC ) Graduate preferred. Experience in handling fiscal responsibilities of local, state or federal agencies, grants and contracts preferred.
