Job Description:
Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Football Game Day Filmer position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 34 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-DI).
This 10-month, seasonal position will utilize camera equipment to film varsity football games. The game day films will be used by the coaches for teaching and evaluating purposes. May require the operation of a scissor lift.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience filming athletic contests, preferred.
- Experience using and operating cameras and production
equipment
- Must be a team player with strong communication
skills
- Must have a general understanding of football, including the
rules, run of play, and timeout protocols in order to accurately
follow the play and capture quality game film.
- Have a professional knowledge of camera controls such as
zoom, focus, pan, and tilt in addition to knowledge and use of
tripods
- Must represent the University in a professional and
respectful manner when interacting with/around teams, officials,
coaches, support staff, etc.
- Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and
inclusive environment.

Employees in coaching positions must receive annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting by the compliance office and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Division).
