Job Description The United Arab Emirates University invites applications for an assistant or associate professor position in the area of organic chemistry. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in top refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University. Candidates will be required to teach general and organic chemistry courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate must have a strong publication track record in top-tier journals. Experience in classroom teaching, securing research grants, and student supervision will be an advantage.

 

Minimum Qualification The candidate must have a PhD in the area of Organic Chemistry or a related field from a reputed university

 

Preferred Qualification A successful application will include the following documents 1. Cover letter stating the faculty position and rank you are applying for, why you are applying for this job, and how you could complement the current Faculty's teaching and research capabilities. 2. An updated CV. 3. A Research Statement describing the research program that you will be developing and any special instrumentation that you will require. 1-2 pages 4. Teaching Statement, which will mention a list of courses that you have taught and your experience with virtual learning & teaching platforms and tools etc. 1-2 pages.
