EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE CENTER FOR FACULTY SUCCESS

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Executive Director of the Center for Faculty Success (CFS) provides visionary leadership for faculty development and excellence at Texas Woman's University. This individual collaborates with faculty and institutional leaders to assess needs, develop programming, and implement strategies that enhance faculty knowledge and skills in teaching, scholarship, service, and leadership. The Executive Director aligns CFS initiatives with TWU's mission and strategic plan, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching and learning. This 12 month, in-person position reports to the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs.
Required Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate from an accredited institution. Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in faculty development, with at least three years in a leadership role. Proven track record of scholarly contributions to the field of teaching and learning, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national conferences. Strong familiarity with current trends and research in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). Recognition for excellence in teaching, scholarship, service, or leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in research, best practices, and emerging trends in teaching and learning, scholarship, service, and leadership. Proficiency in University-level faculty support and retention programs. Ability to provide administrative guidance and apply budgetary and fiscal planning techniques. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex operations and multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups in a collaborative environment. Proficiency in integrating cutting-edge educational technologies into faculty development programs. Active participation in professional organizations related to faculty development and SoTL. Commitment to personal and professional development.
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Texas Woman’s University occupies a notable position in higher education as the nation’s largest university primarily for women. Established in 1901, TWU is a doctoral/research-intensive public university which emphasizes the liberal arts and sciences as well as specialized and professional studies in business, nursing, health sciences, and education.
