Position Summary:
The Analyst 2: Informational Technology-Systems Analyst performs a wide range of advanced system and database analysis and programming duties across multiple platforms for the College. Designs, develops, and analyzes software solutions in support of the College’s information technology projects.
The work schedule for this position is flexible and may include working evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs highly technical analysis and design, configuration and management of the College’s information technology systems.
- Responsible for business analysis duties related to multiple platforms, multiple systems, and technologies. Evaluates systems, and recommends integrations between systems.
- Determines user requirements and assesses available software packages. Implements, administers, and troubleshoots college systems.
- Performs a variety of programming and software systems design, implementation, and administration functions.
- Handles various data analysis and data modification requests.
- Serves as a project team member working with multiple college departments and outside vendors. Creates and maintains external contractor relationships.
- Executes functions for end-user support and troubleshooting, software application and deployment, administration of cloud platforms and enterprise applications. Resolves system and application issues.
- Follows secure development practice and implements appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Vocational or training in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field of study and
- Three to five years of related technical experience
- An equivalent combination of certification, education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Systems and Analysis, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field
- Knowledge of applicable computer programming languages relative to the assignment
- Knowledge of computer and network operating systems
- Knowledge of project management principles, processes, and techniques
- Skill in organization, coordination and management
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technical environment
- Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to draw conclusions and prepare accurate reports of results
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
