Position Overview: 

We are seeking a qualified candidate for a renewable non-tenure track position in Data Analytics within the Department of Mathematics and Technology at Alvernia University.  We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about teaching and committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment for our students. 

Responsibilities:  

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Data Analytics and Data Science
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Engage students through innovative and effective teaching methods that promote active learning and critical thinking skills development.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students interested in pursuing careers in Data Analytics or Data Science.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Data Analytics-related initiatives within the University.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other service activities as assigned.

Qualifications: 

• An equivalent of a master's degree in Data Analytics or a related field.
• Professional experience in Data Analytics or a related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level, preferably in Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching, scholarship, and service.
