Part -Time Small Business Development Adviser - FY 2025
Job Description
Empower small business owners by providing comprehensive advising services to help them overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and ensure long-term success. This includes guidance in areas like business financial analysis, budgeting, marketing, marketing research, business plan development, strategic planning, human resources, and other business-related issues.
- Conduct client intake interviews and assess business
needs
- Analyze small business strengths and weaknesses and develop
customized growth strategies
- Connect clients with valuable resources within the CSN SBED
network and the broader community
- This is a part-time position working up to 19.5 hours per
week
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of the business development life
cycle process, including the ability to independently locate and
connect clients with needed resources
- Proven ability to work independently and
collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and Outlook)
- Experience with virtual meeting technology (e.g., Teams,
Zoom)
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in one of the following languages (Mandarin, Tagalog,
Spanish, Vietnamese, Thai, or other) to better serve a diverse
clientele
- Experience using a customer relationship management (CRM)
platform to manage client data, track interactions, and support the
business development process
- At least one year of business mentorship experience with SCORE,
SBA, or equivalent
- Customer service experience of one to two years.
- Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body
and/or workforce
- Possess excellent written, public speaking, and interpersonal
skills
- Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited
college/university in Business Administration, Finance, or related
field

$29.74- $45.41 Hourly
