Hours: Standard University business hours
8:30am - 5:00pm (academic year)
8:00am - 4:30pm (summer)

Job Description:
The Administrative Assistant II provides budgetary and operational support to the Director and the professional and paraprofessional staff within Student Living. This position is a member of the central office staff and is responsible for creating and maintaining close working relationships with relevant offices and departments within the University. They will provide budgetary and operational guidance and support to Student Living and the professional and paraprofessional staff. The position reviews and approves JP Morgan credit card reconciliations, processes room and board credits for student leaders, approves all online (e-pro) supply orders, and tracks monthly expenses for Student Living. The person in this position must maintain positive working relationships with a variety of University personnel, including Student Experience divisional budget staff as well as University purchasing and disbursement staff.

Responsibilities:
- Oversees Student Living purchases for department. Approves and reconciles all procurement card charges.
- Reconciliation of Student Living chart strings.
- Serves as authorized signer on chart strings.
- Review casual wage and recreate report for office use.
- Create and approve all journal entries for department.
- Handles cash and check deposits for office.
- Preparation and distribution of monthly budget reports, forecasting year-end balances.
- Maintains all residence hall-level budgets and oversees spending.
- Prepares and reviews travel expenditures and contracts for department.
- Oversee Invest Syracuse and Co- Curricular accounts for Student Living' Prepare and submit all reimbursements for staff and candidates and for moving expenses for new employees.
- Preparation and reconciliation of office expenses, including telecommunications, PRs, IDs, travel vouchers.
- Prepare, submit and amend Room & Board credits for 180+ paraprofessional student leaders.
- Prepares and manages application of meal dollars on staff SUID accounts, as needed.
- Oversees Resident Advisor and Residence Hall Association student stipends.
- Train and support Residence Hall Association treasurer and professional staff regarding fiscal processes and procedures.
- Maintain major equipment inventory and MSDS binder.
- Coordinate and maintain copier Oversees office supply orders and special purchases through epro.
- Coordinate service agreements, departmental recycling, records archiving.
- Coordinate van driver certification process' Pulls reports from MySlice, ePro, MyReports, FAST as needed.
- Serve on departmental and divisional committees.
- Engage in ongoing learning and professional development.
- Other duties as assigned.
