Job Details
The School of City and Regional Planning (SCaRP) (https://planning.gatech.edu) at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA invites applications for a tenure-eligible Assistant or Associate Professor in City and Regional Planning with an expected start date of August 2025. We seek applications from community-engaged scholars whose research speaks to questions of civic engagement, social and racial justice, participatory methods, collaborative planning, and the role of technology in communities. We hope to find a colleague who can also meaningfully contribute to the success of a new undergraduate major that SCaRP plans to launch in the near future.
The Assistant or Associate Professor is a tenure-track faculty member who performs a combination of teaching, research, and service. The candidate is expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students and develop externally funded research trajectories. A doctoral degree in planning or a related field is required. Candidates with a promising scholarly trajectory and teaching experience are preferred. The ability to adopt teaching strategies that support the learning and success of all students and promote an inclusive and welcoming educational/work environment is especially preferred.
