Job Summary

Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) seeks a Lead Integration Analyst/Developer to s erve as a lead resource in the implementation and support of integrations/interfaces within RISD’s complex ERP Environment. This position delivers end-to-end platform integrations from proposal through execution (design/build/test/deploy) and acts as subject matter expert leading technical resources through the entire integration development lifecycle from requirements definition through release to production. The Lead Integration Analyst/Developer l eads major application implementations, Workday upgrades, and provides applications support including coding, testing, documenting, troubleshooting, refinement, and installation of programs/systems in order to satisfy user requirements. The role serves as a point of escalation for and provides general guidance to Integration Analyst/Developers, participates as a member of cross-functional teams, and f ollows change management procedures in compliance with audit guidelines. Essential Functions
  • Leads the delivery of end-to-end platform integrations from proposal through execution (design/build/test/deploy). Acts as subject matter expert leading technical resources through the entire integration development lifecycle from requirements definition through release to production.

  • Provides guidance to and serves as a point of escalation for Integration Analyst/Developers. Assists in the education and development of team members. Provides input to the Director on interviews, hires and performance situations.

  • Works closely with internal and external technology stakeholders to ensure effective integration approaches.

  • Directly, or with a team of Integration Analyst/Developers, provides administrative software system support to complex programs/systems including coding, integrations, testing, documenting, troubleshooting, and refinement & installation in order to satisfy user and legal/regulatory and audit requirements.

  • Identifies, analyzes and troubleshoots a wide variety of complex business and application problems related to Workday (Human Capital Management, Finance, and Student) and related applications and data.

  • Resolves complex technical problems involving multiple application environments by applying appropriate software patches or code remedies via Studio, EIB and supporting 3rd party coding.

  • Follows up with users to ensure patches are applied and appropriately tested.

  • Provides advanced level of application administration to support all system-related tools used by enterprise systems.

  • Develops comprehensive work statements and modification/enhancement specifications including budget implications for review and approval by the Director and end-user. Translates work statements and specifications into programming code using appropriate software development tools.

  • Researches, recommends, develops and maintains programming standards/policies/procedures to ensure the integrity and cohesiveness of custom programming. Provides input to the Director on Administrative Computing strategies.

  • Proactively monitors in-place integrations and addresses day-to-day support issues.

  • Has some latitude in decision-making – acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

  • Serves as the backup for the Director in their absence.

  • Assists in the areas of the ERP system and other Enterprise Application systems as needed.

  • Provides on-call support and coverage for off-hours when necessary.



Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience
  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • At least five years application programming experience with at least three years leading large-scale ERP system and service projects.

  • Previous experience delivering presentations to user departments and/or management.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with wide variety of users operating at all technical skill levels.

  • Ability to interpret user needs to appropriate technology solutions.

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of ad-hoc project-based groups, take initiative and be resourceful in building knowledge and skill level.

  • Must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and work effectively with multiple diverse populations.
