The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (https://ce.gatech.edu) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in the areas of Construction and Infrastructure Systems Engineering and Water Resources Engineering. Applicants will be considered at all ranks, with a preference for the Assistant Professor rank, in the following particular areas:

The Construction and Infrastructure Systems Engineering (CISE) program seeks candidates focused on advancing construction operations and processes through research in robotics, sensing technologies, and AI as they relate to construction automation. Applicants should be able to teach courses in construction engineering and management.

In Water Resources Engineering (WRE), we are seeking outstanding applicants to add to our existing strengths in the areas of computational fluid dynamics, flow and transport in surface and subsurface waters, coastal engineering, hydro-climatology and remote sensing, and integrated water resources assessment and management in the context of climate and socioeconomic change.  This position offers exciting collaboration opportunities with faculty from across the Civil and Environmental Engineering disciplines as well as faculty from various other schools, including Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biology, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Computer Science, City and Regional Planning, Economics, and Public Policy.

Outstanding faculty candidates in other areas of Civil Engineering including Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Materials (SEMM), Transportation Systems Engineering (TSE), Geosystems Engineering (GEO), and Environmental Engineering (ENVE) will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities will include:

CEE faculty are expected to lead independent research at the cutting edge of their field and build a strong, extramurally funded research program and national/international recognition. In addition, they are expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses, mentor a diverse student body, and conduct service to the school, institute, and profession.

An earned doctorate is required by the start of the appointment.

Successful candidates will have displayed an exemplary track record of research accomplishments, expertise or demonstrated interest in teaching and mentoring a diverse student body, and a degree of service engagement appropriate to their career stage.
