ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (COLLABORATIVE/ARTIST PIANO)

The School of Music is seeking an Assistant Professor (Collaborative/Artist Pinao).  Full-time, 9-month, tenure track.

Required: DMA in piano performance, collaborative piano or related area or commensurate professional experience (ABD considered), outstanding performance background in chamber music settings as well as solo performance, excellent sight-reading skills, successful collaborative performance experience at the college or professional level, the ability and willingness to effectively recruit collaborative and solo undergraduate and graduate students, effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Perform and rehearse with guest artists, faculty, studios, and other areas as required by the School of Music;
• Assign and coordinate collaborative pianists for the accompanying needs of the School of Music;
• Teach applied lessons to piano majors at both the undergraduate and graduate level;
• Coach and coordinate the assignments of student collaborative pianists;
• Teach in the area of collaborative piano and related courses, coach chamber ensembles.
