Special Education Collaborative Teacher Education, Assistant Professor, Tenure Track

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the School of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for appointment to a 9-month tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor to begin August 2025. Salary and terms of appointment are commensurate with prior experience. We seek a candidate in Special Education Collaborative Teacher Education with visionary leadership to guide our programs’ growth through excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service. A successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Special Education or a closely related field, evidence of strong potential for maintaining an active research and publication agenda, evidence of strong potential for successful university teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, and at least two years of teaching or direct service experience in one or more of the Special Education fields.
