West Virginia University School of Nursing invites applications for a Non-Tenure, Clinical Education Track Instructor. This is a full-time,1.0 FTE, nine (9) months, benefits eligible position to teach in the BSN program Maternal/Infant & Women’s Health Nursing and Child & Adolescent Health clinicals . This position will report to the chairperson of the Family and Community Health Department.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Teaching in Maternal/Infant & Women’s Health Nursing and Child & Adolescent Health clinicals in the BSN program.
- In addition to clinical teaching, other formats of teaching, including traditional classroom teaching, skills lab, small group, and simulation teaching may be included
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN); or have a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing and be enrolled in a graduate degree program with a major in nursing within one (1) year of employment as a faculty member; or have a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing and at least ten (10) years of professional nursing practice experience.
- Evidence of experience in maternal/infant and women’s health nursing as well as child & adolescent health nursing practice sufficient to demonstrate professional competence.
- Required to have unencumbered WV RN License by position start date.
- Applicants with two (2) years of teaching experience in nursing are encouraged to apply.
