NSU’s Department of Chemistry seeks applicants for the position of Adjunct Professor – Chemistry. Adjunct Chemistry Professors teach General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry lecture and laboratory courses.
Adjunct Faculty responsibilities include teaching one or more of the following:
1. General Chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses
2. Organic Chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses
Successful candidates will instruct, hold office hours and assist with assessment of the course(s) as part of the Chemistry program annual evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a Master’s of Science in Chemistry from a regionally accredited institution of higher education; Ph.D. in Chemistry preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to teach General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry and teach laboratory courses associated with prescribed lectures.
- Skilled in the use of assessment and instructionally based technology when delivering teaching concepts and principles.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate to a diverse student-body
audience, both verbally and in writing, with emphasis applied to a
commitment to diversity.
