Salary Range:
Lecturer - $40,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Senior Lecturer - $42,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions
The Department of Public Health at The University of Texas at San Antonio invites applications for an Lecturer/Senior Lecturer. Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses during fall and spring semesters. Course instruction could include face-to-face instruction, hybrid and online formats and will be determined based on department need. Face-to-face instruction will be required if allowed by safety protocols.
- Engagement in service related to undergraduate students potentially including curricular requirements, competency development, resource needs, program evaluation, and student assessment
- Anticipated workload distribution: 80% teaching and 20% service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Health Education, Epidemiology, Health Communication or related field.
- Previous teaching or facilitation experience, ideally at an institution of higher education.
- Successful candidates must demonstrate their ability to work effectively with and be sensitive to the educational needs of students from various urban communities, while supporting University's dedication as a Hispanic Serving Institution and a model for student success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
- Doctorate in Public Health, Health Promotion, Health Education, Epidemiology, Health Communication, or related field.

- Start date is Spring 2025. This will be a 9-month fixed-term track faculty appointment (i.e., non-tenure track).
- Initial contract length will be negotiated with the final candidate and can be renewed based on annual review.

Working Conditions
This position will require working both remotely in Texas and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
