More generally, the successful applicant will demonstrate a solid understanding of a community college's role in workforce development as well as successful transfer (through the creation of pathways) to higher institutions, shared governance, commitment to collaboration, and professional development. Knowledge and or understanding of grant funding is not necessary but would be advantageous. The successful candidate will assist the department in developing relevant future courses and teaching strategies for students with diverse backgrounds, interests, and learning styles to support student recruitment and retention. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate a good understanding of shared governance and a strong commitment to collaboration and professional development.
