Cottey College, a private liberal arts and sciences college for women, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology position, beginning August 2025. We are seeking candidates who are interested in teaching student-centered courses in Psychopathology, Counseling Psychology, and Personality. Preferred candidates will have a Ph.D. in Psychology and have a strong record of undergraduate teaching; ABD candidates will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
Cottey College first began granting the BA in Psychology in 2013, and the BS in Psychology in 2021. We are seeking candidates who will collaborate with our effective, dynamic department that, in its short time, has successfully sent graduates to relevant careers and several graduate programs. In addition to teaching responsibilities, faculty have the opportunity to advise and mentor undergraduates, sponsor student organizations, and participate in a tight-knit campus community. This position also brings opportunities to get involved with undergraduate research in our dedicated Psychology Lab space, which includes computers and an observation room.

Applicants must send electronically a cover letter; curriculum vitae; statement of teaching philosophy, including philosophy of teaching a diverse student body; copies of transcripts; and three professional references.
