Job Duties
Teach undergraduate courses in psychology. Specifically, General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Scientific Methods, Theories of Personality, Psychology of Learning, Statistics, History & Systems of Psychology, and Social Psychology.
Courses in area of specialization will be considered. Opportunities also exist at our Laurel College Center campus located in Laurel, MD.
The instructor must be available to teach courses between 8am – 5pm or evening courses offered one or two days per week. The instructor is responsible for teaching courses in-person, hybrid, remote, or online. The instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities.The instructor must explore teaching methods and strategies to engage learners, organize and plan instructional content that accommodates diverse learning styles, and devise appropriate assessment tools that monitor student learning outcomes.
Ability to plan, deliver and assess effective instruction. Provide timely student feedback; provide an orientation at the first- class meeting to include (as applicable) an overview of the course syllabus. Comply with attendance and grading requirements as established for the course. Participate in departmental evaluation and course assessment processes as directed. Follow department requirements for maintaining office hours
Requested Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of a master’s degree in psychology, teaching experience, and an interest in student learning are required.

Doctorate degree in psychology, two years of college teaching experience, and experience using the Canvas Learning Management System is preferred.
