About the Opportunity:
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Operations the Program Manager for the Academic Affairs Division in the College of Professional Studies provides outstanding program management for graduate and undergraduate professional programs. The primary focus of this position is to ensure quality program delivery, excellent customer service and support to students and faculty. Responsibilities include serving as a liaison for internal stakeholders such as registrar, advising and admissions; facilitating part time faculty hiring and onboarding, collaborating with lead faculty on teaching assignments; tracking, monitoring and evaluating faculty engagement, building and maintaining course schedules, collecting and analyzing course evaluations amongst other program administrative responsibilities to support a first-class student experience and a life-long learning connection with the university.

Responsibilities:
20% - Faculty Relations
  • Partner with Lead Faculty to provide rigorous academic experience for students, allowing for optimal student experience
  • Field part-time faculty inquiries in regards to Program, College, and University policies and best practices
  • Facilitate hiring and onboarding of individual new part-time faculty hires
  • Maintain accurate records of part-time faculty credentials, teaching contract history, and availability

50% - Program Administration
  • Build and maintain course schedule accounting for program growth, campus expansion, instructor availability, student need, course modality and other relevant data points (i.e. headcounts, projected new students, applicant pipeline)
  • Operate Banner scheduling system in order to maintain college best practices in course caps, waitlists, degree program attributes, and meeting times and dates
  • Collaborate with Lead faculty to staff and contract teaching assignments in alignment with CPS academic operational deadlines and best practices
  • Collect, review, and post to web course syllabi for assigned courses within program portfolio
  • Track and monitor faculty engagement via Blackboard reporting
  • Collect and analyze course evaluations to identify and present areas of exemplary performance and areas of concern around faculty performance, to lead faculty.
  • Track, monitor and ensure textbook adoptions, grade submission, 2x2 readiness, and Incomplete grade contracts
  • Ensure full time faculty worksheets are kept up to date, accurately reflecting courses taught
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute logistics for assigned program special events
  • Collaborate with Academic Quality Assurance team to maintain up-to-date information on each degree program's assessment data
  • Process Program Change requests and facilitate their implementation
  • Generate monthly payroll report and conduct initial review for accuracy

25% - Program Liaison
  • Serve as first point of contact and program representative for internal stakeholders such as Career and Academic Coaches, Learner Services, Admissions, Marketing Managers, Instructional Designers, Registrar's office, and regional campus staff
  • Monitor and maintain accurate program curriculum on website, catalogue, and marketing materials
  • Familiarity with specific program's industry trends and discipline's culture information

5% - Special Projects
  • Participate in special projects as needed

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with two to four years of experience in higher education, preferably with adult learners or in a high customer service environment required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work well with multiple constituencies: students, faculty, academic coordinators, and program offices from Deans to support staff.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Teamwork and strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Attention to detail a must.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Banner a plus.
