Cozen O'Connor is seeking an attorney to join the firm’s Institutional Response Group. This is an opportunity to join the nation’s premier Title IX and civil rights practice as an associate, counsel, or member-level attorney, depending upon experience level. Qualified candidates must have experience conducting investigations under Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, or civil rights or criminal laws addressing sexual and gender-based harassment and violence, protected class discrimination or harassment, child or elder abuse; assisting institutions or governmental agencies in implementing trauma-informed, fair and impartial prevention and resolution processes; and/or developing written policies, procedures, and educational materials. Extensive experience with Title IX, the Clery Act, child protection frameworks, and other related regulatory compliance is required, and exceptional oral and written communication skills are expected. Candidates must be highly motivated with demonstrated organizational and analytical skills, leadership experience, and strong interpersonal skills. This position offers an opportunity to work from any of the firm’s offices and the ability to travel is required. Candidates must be licensed in the state where they are applying.
Cozen O’Connor’s Institutional Response Group delivers holistic responses to institutions addressing sexual and gender-based harassment and violence, protected class discrimination and harassment, child abuse, safety and security issues, and other forms of criminal or institutional misconduct. The Institutional Response Group serves colleges, universities, K-12 educational and other child-serving institutions, as well as corporations, hospitals, religious institutions, and not-for-profit organizations, in connection with systems design and infrastructure, policy, compliance, investigations and resolution processes, and governance issues. The Institutional Response Group does not engage in civil litigation.
Cozen O'Connor compensates employees commensurate with experience, taking into consideration the background, level, and relevant skills of the candidate as well as the firm's compensation structure for similarly situated attorneys.
