Associate / Full Professor of Entrepreneurship

The University of Oklahoma, Michael F. Price College of Business, Tom Love Division of Entrepreneurship & Economic Development, is pleased to announce that applications and nominations are being accepted for a Professor of Entrepreneurship position beginning fall of 2025. Applicants will be considered for appointment at the Associate or Full rank based on achievements and experience. The intent is to identify high-caliber scholars in entrepreneurship who wish to build and grow entrepreneurship in a collegial and supportive environment.
Entrepreneurship is a top priority of the University of Oklahoma and the Price College of Business. In the strategic plans for both the University and Price College, entrepreneurship is specifically highlighted and will continue to play a pivotal role. This commitment is demonstrated by an academic department - the Tom Love Division of Entrepreneurship & Economic Development - that offers undergraduate, graduate (https://www.ou.edu/online/programs/graduate/entrepreneurship), and doctoral level degree programs in entrepreneurship. Both our undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship programs have consistently ranked among the leading programs in the United States. Our faculty are highly research active and publish regularly in leading entrepreneurship and management journals. Faculty members are dedicated to a culture of excellence in pursuit of a vision to be thought leaders in the field of entrepreneurship.
Candidates must have a PhD in entrepreneurship, management, or a closely related field. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate significant accomplishments in research in entrepreneurship. Evidence of scholarly contributions to advance understanding of entrepreneurship phenomena is required. Applicants must also be committed to excellence in teaching, to collegiality, and to fulfilling the mission of the Price College (https://www.ou.edu/price). Candidates should have a broadly recognized research record and related qualifications for tenure at the Associate or Full Professor level at the University of Oklahoma.
The successful candidate will also assume the role of Director of the Tom Love Innovation Hub (I-Hub). The I-Hub houses a Fabrication Lab, Legal Clinic, StartUp programs, and a student consulting program (ICCEW). In addition, the position oversees other grant related programs. Thought leadership, a passion for spreading the entrepreneurial spirit, an ability to provide governance and academic leadership to innovative entrepreneurial initiatives are essential. The successful applicant will ensure that the entrepreneurial programs and related curriculum embed cutting edge research, alongside well-established best practices, to ensure the I-Hub is serving our students with excellence. The role also requires the candidate to engage philanthropic and additional resource support initiatives for the I-Hub in concert with the OU Foundation and the VP for Research.
This position offers a highly competitive salary along with research and travel support. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship, with various formats, including online and/or in person. While undergraduate courses are offered on the main campus in Norman, graduate courses are typically delivered at the Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business in the heart of Oklahoma City at OU's University Research Park on the Health Sciences Center campus (https://www.ou.edu/price/mba).

The OU Campus is home to the Fred Jones Museum of Art and houses the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, which won the National Medal for Museum and Library Science in 2014. Located less than twenty miles from Norman, Oklahoma City is home to an international airport, numerous restaurants, retailers, NBA Basketball (Oklahoma City Thunder), AAA Baseball, USL Soccer, a world-class symphony, ballet, a travelling Broadway Series, and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. Oklahoma City's Boathouse district is a training site for Olympians plus offers numerous recreational boating and cycling opportunities along the Oklahoma River.
