Primary responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct cutting-edge research in biological and ecological engineering. Other major responsibilities required for tenure include but are not limited to, working collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines, advising and mentoring students, assisting in undergraduate research and recruiting, curriculum development, engaging in academic program accreditation, rendering services to the host department, college, the university, and the community-at-large, and being an active member of discipline-related professional organizations. The candidate is expected to stay knowledgeable of advances in design practice, theory and technology in the field.This is a 9-month tenure-track position of an assistant professor in biological engineering.
