Job Description:
NOCCCD is now accepting applications for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Instructor (Clinical Coordinator) Pool-Part-Time positions at Cypress College!

Primary Purpose:
Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience directly related to the assignment;

OR

Associate degree or higher and six years of professional experience directly related to the assignment;

OR

Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.
AND THE FOLLOWING:

1) possess an academic degree no lower than an Associate degree and at least equalto that for which the graduates are being prepared;
2) possess the appropriate credential(s) specific to the concentration(s) that s/hecoordinates = Registered, in good standing, in sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen and/or OB & Gyn.
4) have a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer inthe professional sonography field.

Desirable Qualifications:
Recent experience in sonography imaging.

Teaching experience.

Experience using computers in instruction.

Ability to work effectively in a team-teaching environment.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Commitment to examine, reflect, and modify instructional, relational, and classroom practices in order to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with the goal of closing equity gaps.

Working Conditions:


Salary Range: Salary Range: $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lecture unit rate, $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lab parity unit rate, $1113.42 - $1221.77 per lab unit rate

This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
