Up to two two-year postdoctoral fellow positions are available to scholars with an interest in interdisciplinary research and policy engagement on contemporary Asia. Submissions are due December 1, 2024.

The Stanford Next Asia Policy Lab (SNAPL) is offering one or two postdoctoral fellowships (two years in length) to begin Fall Quarter of 2025. There are four fellowship tracks and applicants can apply for any of them: "Talent Flows and Development,” "Nationalism and Racism," "US-Asia Relations," and "Democratic Crisis and Reform."

SNAPL is a new innovative policy lab housed at the Shorenstein Asia Pacific Research Center (APARC) under the leadership of Professor Gi-Wook Shin. The lab is committed to addressing emergent social, cultural, economic, and political challenges in Asia through interdisciplinary, problem-oriented, policy-relevant, and comparative studies and publications. Each postdoctoral fellow will lead one thematic research group and support student programming for SNAPL alongside general research and publication activities.
