Job Description Summary

Assistant Professor of Paleontology to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise student research at the undergraduate, M.S. and Ph.D. levels, initiate and maintain a vigorous, externally-funded research program, and provide service to the University.

Job Description

The Department of Geology & Environmental Earth Science (https://miamioh.edu/cas/departments/geology/index.html) has ~ 10 faculty committed to diversity and inclusive excellence in teaching and research. The department has ~150 undergraduate majors, offering degrees in Geology and Environmental Earth Science, as well as ~25 graduate students in the M.S. and Ph.D. programs. The department maintains modern teaching, research, and instrumentation facilities in support of a wide array of research programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required: Ph.D. degree in geology or closely related field by date of appointment, with expertise in Paleontology.
