Transfer Advisor/Processor, 2 positions available Closing Date:

Job Duties:
The Transfer Advisor/Processor is responsible for processing applications, transcripts, and other required student documents for undergraduate, graduate and international applications. In addition, this position will aid in making admissions decisions and maintaining student data. The Transfer Advisor/Processor will support daily operations of the office, as well as provide exceptional customer service to prospective students and applicants during enrollment advising appointments. The position will provide information about the university, its programs and admissions criteria and assist with a smooth matriculation to Athens State University, occasionally serving as additional support for recruiting events as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides essential processing functions to Office of Admissions including application processing, mail and email management, transcript intake processing, documentation verification, imaging, and admissions decisions.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and advising to prospective students on Athens State programs and application requirements.
  • Assists with maintaining overall functionality of the application software.
  • Ensures the confidentiality and accurate data entry of all information processed.
  • Comply with all policies of the University, Department and appropriate State and Federal regulations.
  • Runs application reports, as needed.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing work scope and tasks based on need.
  • Maintains “open door” to internal and external customers.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvements to work practices and offers viable solutions for implementation.
  • Utilizes critical thinking, problem solving and experience with student issues to be proactive in addressing potential student concerns, identifying potential barriers within the student enrollment process and initiating steps resulting in resolution.
  • Ability to deal professionally and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.



Required Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:·

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Advanced knowledge of computer technology and software applications to conduct job duties.
  • Must have the maturity and adaptability to be team oriented and yet able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

  • ·Experience in higher education admission, financial aid, or advising office
  • Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software program
  • Knowledgeable of Athens State University Degree programs preferred



Salary Schedule:
Salary Band: P50
