Administrative Assistant for Graduate Studies

Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for an outgoing, organized, detail-oriented professional to serve as the Administrative Assistant for Graduate Studies.
The candidate would be expected to: Provide excellent customer service to students, program directors, other University personnel and parents via phone or in person. Respond to e-mail as appropriate including e-mail correspondence to and from the Director of Graduate Studies. Answer questions and queries related to graduate studies (for example, graduate admissions, academic appeal process, graduate assistantships, graduate program specifics, graduate information sessions etc.). Schedule, plan and attend meetings of the Graduate Studies Committee, Graduate Academic Standards and Review Committee, and any other meetings associated with the Office of Graduate Studies. Maintain the Director's calendar electronically. Arrange, confirm and schedule internal and external appointments, meetings and travel for the Vice Provost, and visitors as necessary, related to the business of the Graduate Studies Office and other duties as assigned.
This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position.

Other Requirements:
- Four-plus (4+) years of related experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to support a wide range of Human Resources functions, which include creating and maintaining employee records, payroll/time management, and reporting through the university employment systems.
