Description

The Communication Disorders Program at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track, assistant or associate professor faculty position (speech-language pathology).with an expected start date of August, 2025. Summer teaching may be available.

Examples of Duties

Responsibilities included:
  • Teaching 12 hours of undergraduate/graduate courses per semester, including clinical (teaching) supervision.
  • Mentoring undergraduate and graduate research.
  • Discipline-based scholarship
  • University/discipline service.
Typical Qualifications

Candidate must possess a doctorate degree in communication disorders and/or sciences, or another advanced degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D). and the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) for a minimum of 9-months prior to employment. Finally, the candidate must hold or be eligible to obtain Missouri licensure.

Preferred expertise with adult neurogenic cognitive linguistics communication disorders or voice and swallowing disorders however, the position is open for all areas of emphasis for exceptional candidates.

Candidates must also possess experience instructing and mentoring student clinicians, experience teaching at the university level, and experience building and sustaining a clinical caseload.
