The Department of Government, Criminology, & Sociology at Lander University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminology to begin in August 2025 (or possibly January 2025).  Salary is competitive at $65,000 and based upon relevant experience.

Eligible candidates will, at minimum, be ABD in Criminology or relevant fields. We prefer experience in teaching both face-to-face and online courses in Criminology and Criminal Justice.  The position is open as to areas of specialization.  The candidate should be committed to teaching excellence, enthusiastic about advising and mentoring students, willing to contribute to collaborative efforts in recruitment, retention, and overall departmental growth, and work effectively with a diverse student population. 

Responsibilities include teaching introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses in multiple modalities and the ability to contribute to Lander’s new M.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Lander supports on-going training and professional development through its Center for Faculty Excellence.
