About the Position:
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Admissions Reviewers to join our admissions team. The Admissions Reviewer will have a crucial role in evaluating applications and conducting interviews to assess the qualifications and potential of prospective students. Admissions Reviewers will work a minimum of 6 hours per week and up to a maximum of 30 hours per week. They will have the flexibility of selecting their schedule but desired availability between 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The employment period for Admissions Reviewers is from November to March. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
Application Review
- Evaluate and review law school applications, including personal statements, transcripts, letters of recommendation, and other supporting materials; and
- Assess applicants’ academic achievements, professional experiences, and personal qualities.
- Conduct interviews with prospective students to gain deeper insights into their qualifications, motivations, and fit for the law school; and
- Prepare and ask relevant questions to assess candidates’ potential and suitability for the program.
- Provide detailed written assessments and recommendations based on application materials and interview performance; and
- Collaborate with the admissions team to discuss and make decisions on applicant admissions.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with applicants, admissions staff, and faculty; and
- Provide timely feedback and responses to inquiries as needed. Admissions Reviewers will have productivity goals that will outline the number of files they are expected to review and/or interview.
- Adhere to all confidentiality agreements and maintain the integrity of the admissions process; and
- Ensure compliance with legal and institutional policies.
- Juris Doctor or the equivalent combination of experience experience in admissions, legal education, or law school administration;
- Strong analytical and evaluative skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities;
- Ability to conduct interviews effectively and impartially;
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to fairness and diversity; and
- Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work independently.
- Previous experience in law school admissions is highly desirable.
